Sandoval County Health Commons

The Sandoval County Community Health Program and the New Mexico Department of Health have developed a program to provide many services under one roof. The Sandoval County Health Commons was constructed in 2004 with an addition in 2007 and houses a unique partnership of state and county employees to provide select resources. Within the Health Commons, families can access Sandoval County Medicaid Enrollment, Affordable Care Act Enrollment and the County Health Care Assistance Program (HCAP/Indigent Fund), Family Planning Clinic, and the Women Infants and Children (WIC), Children Medical Services and Family Dental Services Care all in one central location. The Health Commons has been successful in providing services to families with a focus on pregnant women, children, teens and older adults. Services include health information, resources, and health services to positively impact the long-term health of families in Sandoval County.

  • Lovelace Westside Hospital: The premier hospital serving Rio Rancho and Albuquerque’s Westside, Lovelace Westside hospital provides 24-hour emergency care, fully equipped and expertly staffed operating rooms, a new labor and delivery unit, and medical pavilion with a multitude of outstanding medical specialties and services.
  • Presbyterian Rust Medical Center: The facility features labor and delivery services, intensive care, operating rooms, cardiac services and MRI and imaging, emergency care and more. Rio Rancho and Westside residents no longer need to cross the river for essential hospital care.
  • UNM Sandoval Regional Medical Center: Services focus on primary care, emergency and trauma services, orthopedics and joint replacement behavioral health and medicine, medical and surgical services, obesity management and Women’s health.
