The Sandoval County Board of County Commissioners is actively engaged with the work of the NM Legislature. Commissioners participated in the 2025 Legislative Session and recently heard updates on the Session from several sources. At the April 9, 2025, County Commission Meeting, Senator Jay C. Block, District 12, addressed the Commission, and at the May 14, 2025, meeting, both NM Representative Kathleen Cates, District 44, shared her report as did Professional Lobbyist, Lawrence J. Horan. The update commentary reviewed bills that passed, bills that didn’t pass, and what bills might return in the 2026 Legislative Session.
