2026 General Election Notices

Key Dates to Remember

March 10, 2026

• Candidate Filing Day for 2026 Primary Election
• County Commission Chambers on 3rd floor of the Admin Bldg., from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Know Before You Go – 2026 Candidate Know Before You Go

March 17, 2026

• Deadline for candidates to withdraw their candidacy. This is also the filing day for write-in candidates.
• Bureau of Elections Office from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

April 18, 2026

• Electronic Transmission System (ETS) ballots are sent out to Federal Qualified Elector (FQE) voters.

May 5, 2026

• Clerks begin mailing absentee ballots to voters who have requested them. Absentee Voting
• Books close for online and paper voter registration. Register to Vote
• Early Voting and Same Day Registration (SDR) at the Clerk's Annex begins, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Same Day Voter Registration (SDR)

May 16, 2026

• Expanded Early Voting and SDR begins at all alternate voting sites. Monday to Saturday, most locations open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Same Day Voter Registration (SDR)

May 19, 2026

• Last day to request an absentee ballot. Deadline for absentee applications to be received. Absentee Voting

May 25, 2026

• Observance of Memorial Day Holiday
• Voting closed at County Clerk's Annex and all expanded Early Voting locations.
• County Clerk's Office – Closed

May 30, 2026

• Last day of Early Voting. Most locations open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

June 2, 2026

• Election Day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Absentee ballots are due in the clerk's office no later than 7 p.m. Election Day Sites
