Anyone wishing to engage in business within the unincorporated areas of Sandoval County must file a registration form with the Sandoval County Clerk's Office and obtain a valid business license. View the new business registration form.

As of January 1, 2020, New Mexico state statute requires lodgers' tax remittance and business registration compliance for short-term rentals (STRs). The lodgers' tax rate in Sandoval County is 5% (0.05) on the total daily room rate charged. The annual business registration fee is $35.
