The Sandoval County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is the hub for Emergency Management. During significant incidents including natural or human-caused disasters, as well as acts of terrorism, County leadership gathers here to coordinate resources and determine priorities to protect the lives, property, and environment of Sandoval County. Once these priorities are established, then the EOC staff goes into action by organizing effective use of county, state, and federal resources to assist residents, visitors, and businesses, and to help lessen the effects of the crisis. Their efforts include exercising mutual aid agreements when necessary to arrange logistics support, special task force requests, and search and rescue team deployments.
