Sandoval County Supports Adopt A Shelter Dog Month

Sandoval County Commission Vice Chair, Michael Meek, District 3, sponsored a proclamation for national Adopt A Shelter Dog Month, which was read at the 10/11/23 Commission Meeting. The need is real for pet adoption. It is reported that 3.1 million dogs enter shelters each year across the US and only two million are adopted. Sandoval County has a robust animal care program and works diligently with several partners and dozens of individuals to secure homes for its shelter animals.
