On January 27, 2027, Congresswoman Teresa Leger Fernández presented $1 million to Sandoval County Community Services to support upgrades and developments to the Peña Blanca Multigenerational Community Center. At the Commission Meeting, Sandoval County Community Services Director Jayme Espinoza and her team celebrated by displaying the check.
Sandoval County Fire and Rescue held a Promotional Ceremony on Friday, January 23, 2026, in honor of SCFR Battalion Chiefs and Lieutenants being promoted. In attendance were Chairman Jordan Juarez, Deputy County Manager Eric Masterson, along with SCFR Fire Chief Christopher Bagley, Deputy Chief of EMS Kenny Snow, and Deputy Fire Chief of Operations Sean Kissane. Two additional Lieutenants were promoted during the January 28th Commission Meeting.
