CUBA COLLLECTION CENTER
Hours of operation: Wednesday and Saturdays 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Located at 521 Southern All Around Road, Cuba, NM
Drop off recycling trailer collecting plastic, aluminum cans, cardboard and mixed paper.
**Allows residents to mix plastic and metal cans in one bin. There is no need to separate.
Please rinse all milk containers and food containers before dropping off. No PVC or hard plastics.
PEÑA BLANCA COLLLECTION CENTER
Hours of operation: Wednesday and Saturdays 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Located at 22 Camino de Comunida, Pena Blanca, NM
Drop off recycling trailer collecting plastic, aluminum cans, cardboard and mixed paper.

CANON - COLLECTION OR CONVENIENCE STATION
Hours of operation: Wednesday and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Located at 118 Hwy 4, Canon, NM
Pick-up size loads only, no trailer or commercial loads. Trailer loads must go to the County landfill.
All loads must be tarped; an additional no tarp fee will be added: $5 residential. No commercial loads accepted.
Sandoval County Landfill and Composting Facility
Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., closed Sundays and most holidays.
NOTE: The Landfill closes for inclement weather and when winds exceed 25 mph. If you think that these conditions are present, you may call 505-771-8500 or 505-867-0814 to find out if the landfill is open. Located at 2708 Iris Road NE, Rio Rancho, NM
ITEMS ACCEPTED AT THE MAIN LANDFILL, 2708 IRIS RD.
- Cardboard (flattened, no packaging), plastics (1 through 7's), scrap metal, or mixed paper: No Charge
- Electronics, computers (CPUs, PCs, laptops, keyboards, mouse): No Charge
- TVs and CRT (older computer screens): $20 fee
- Tires (4 per visit, passenger tires only): $2.50 per tire
- Appliances: $8.00 each
- Hazardous Household Waste (HHW): Aerosol spray cans, pesticides, antifreeze, fuels, paints, lead acid batteries, fluorescent light bulbs, pool chemicals, cleaners, solvents, oil & oil filters): $20 fee (only at the Sandoval County facility and only for certain items)
Sales of Compost or Mulch
- Call before arriving as these materials sell out quickly
ITEMS NOT ACCEPTED AT ANY LOCATION:
Hazardous waste, Liquids, Radioactive Waste, Bio-Medical waste, infectious waste, burn barrels, needles (sharps), or any item that has a license plate or a registration.

Universal Waste Concept
Must be sent for recycling otherwise it must be treated as hazardous waste:

- Items included in Universal Waste include: Electronic devices, computer components, printers, copying machines, photo machines, florescent light bulbs, mercury containing devices (furnace thermostats), televisions.
