National Hispanic Heritage Month and Prostate Cancer Awareness Month were recognized with proclamations at the September 24, 2025, Sandoval County Board of County Commissioners meeting. Sponsors were Chair Michael Meek, District 3, for Prostate Cancer Awareness and Vice Chair Jordan Juarez, District 2, for National Hispanic Heritage.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Domestic Violence Awareness Month were recognized with proclamations at the October 8, 2025, Sandoval County Board of County Commissioners meeting. Sponsors were Commissioner Katherine A. Bruch, District 1, for Domestic Violence and Chair Michael Meek, District 3, for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Shana Aldahl, LCSW, with New Mexico Coalition Against Domestic Violence, was the recipient of the proclamation for Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Members of Haven House Shelter, the only domestic violence shelter for Sandoval County, were also in attendance. Kelly Skuce received the proclamation for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
