Right here in Sandoval County!

Tee off for the 2023 PGA Professional Championship started right here in Sandoval County at the Twin Warriors Golf Club with the last round of golf being played today, Wednesday, May 3. The competing 312 PGA golfers from across the country played both the Twin Warriors and the Santa Ana golf courses for their chance to qualify for the PGA Championship at Oak Hill Golf Club, which will start on May 18th.

On Monday, May 1, Ben Kern (at the tee), PGA General Manager at Hickory Hills Golf Club in Grove City, Ohio, said that the ninth hole at Twin Warriors Golf Club was a “firestarter” for his game. (This photo was taken Wednesday, May 3 from the first tee, last round.)

Derek Gutierrez, PGA, General Manager and Director of Golf for Santa Ana Golf Corporation, breaks away from the first-tee activity Wednesday for a photo with John Garcia, Deputy Manager of Sandoval County.
