Job openings at Intel fit many skill levels

With their recent expansion announcement, Intel is looking for new talent to hire.

Intel Corporation, with over 40 years in the state, announced in May their plan to invest $3.5 billion to equip the New Mexico site for the manufacturing of advanced semiconductor packaging technologies, including Foveros, Intel’s breakthrough 3D packaging technology.

As part of their multiyear plan, they expect to create at least 700 high-tech jobs and 1,000 construction jobs and will support an additional 3,500 jobs in the state.

“We couldn’t be happier to be expanding in New Mexico and bringing on more than 700 new employees over the next few years,” Erika Edgerly, Public Affairs Director for the New Mexico site said. “We’re also hoping local talent will help fill these positions, some of which we’re already actively hiring for.”

Open positions are posted on Intel’s jobs website looking for interns, entry-level, and experienced hires.

“We hope to make the application process as easy as possible to enable anyone qualified and able to fill a position to apply,” she said.

Most applications require just a current resume and minimum qualifications met to submit.

“Intel is a great place to work, with engaging and challenging projects, cutting-edge technology, and an inclusive environment,” Edgerly said.

If hired, most Intel employees are eligible for a wide range of benefits, including health insurance, medical, military, and family leaves, stock programs, opportunities to participate in the company’s volunteer program, and more.

“The Rio Rancho site will continue to play a crucial role in Intel’s manufacturing operations with exciting new technology that has the power to improve the life of every human on this planet,” she said. “I’m excited to be a part of it, and I encourage qualified applicants to apply and join us on our exciting journey ahead.”
