Update on Camino Manzano Asphalt project:
The Public Works Department has modified the schedule due to weather. The section closest to Camino Barranca was completed today 5/20/2019. The Public Works Department is hoping to start paving the lower section off the frontage road on Wednesday the May 22 with completion of this section expected by 5:00 P.M. on Thursday the May 23, weather permitting. Crews will be working on preparing the lower section for asphalt 5/21/2019 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. and the road will be closed during this time.
The Sandoval County Public Works Department will be doing asphalt restoration on portions of Camino Manzano in Placitas starting May 14, 2019. Below you’ll find the anticipated schedule for the project so that Placitas residents and visitors can be aware of any expected delays or closures.
- 5/14/19 through 5/17/19: There will be various lane closures on Camino Manzano from the Frontage Road to Camino Barranca between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. while crews start to prep various areas for asphalt patching.
- 5/20/19: Camino Manzano will be CLOSED from the Frontage road approximately 3000 feet East, while crews patch the asphalt off the frontage road, this closure will start at 8 a.m. and last until approximately 5 p.m.
- 5/21/19 through 5/22/19: Camino Manzano will be CLOSED from Camino Barranca to Calle Cuervo while crews preform an asphalt patch. Residents can use Calle Cuervo off Camino Barranca, or the Frontage Road, to Camino Manzano to access the area. This closure will start at 8 a.m. and last until 5 p.m. both days.
- 5/28/19 through 5/31/19: Crack sealing and fog sealing will take place on the the entire stretch of Camino Manzano from the Frontage Road to Camino Barranca.
During these dates, please allow additional time when entering or exiting the area, and please be aware of workers that may be working on the roadway.
