Officials to Address “State of the County” at Chamber Breakfast

An update on county operations—from the assessor’s reappraisal project to electronic documents recording initiative in the clerk’s office—is on tap at the Rio Rancho Chamber of Commerce’s Regional Issues Breakfast on Thursday, May 21, 2015.

Five top county officials are slated to provide updates on their operations, staring with County Manager Phillip Rios, who will describe some of the efforts the county commission has taken in recent years to help all Sandoval County communities grow and prosper. These efforts include supporting economic development by allocating seed money for Sandoval Economic Alliance, and securing state and federal grants to fund road projects throughout the county.

Other officials scheduled to speak are:

• Assessor Tom Garcia
• Clerk Eileen Garbagni
• Sheriff Doug Wood
• Treasurer Laura Montoya

The breakfast will be at the Santa Ana Star Center in Rio Rancho. It will kick off at 7:00 am, with check-in and presentations by county officials starting at 7:30 am.
