Health Council Hears Report on Creating Mental Health Crisis Network

As part of its ongoing commitment to improving the health of county residents, the Sandoval County Health Council recently heard a presentation on Bernalillo County’s efforts to build a network to provide comprehensive mental health services.

The presentation was given by Community Partners, Inc., a Tucson, Ariz., company that has been contracted to help the county create a coordinated behavioral health care system within Bernalillo County.

Representatives from Community Partners addressed the Sandoval County Health Council on September 21, 2015. They outlined efforts by the Bernalillo County Behavioral Health Resource Work Group to create a crisis network that will allow residents experiencing mental health issues to get preventive treatment rather than having to be treated in hospital emergency rooms or being referred to law-enforcement agencies.
