The staff of the SCRECC continues to demonstrate how their commitment to the welfare of the communities we serve doesn’t stop once the headset comes off. This is again evidenced by their overwhelming response to completely fulfill the Christmas ‘wish list’ which was provided by the local CYFD office. Sandoval County CYFD provides an array of prevention, intervention, rehabilitative, and after-care services to children and their families within the city of Rio Rancho and all of Sandoval County. We were honored to once again partner with them to provide a bit of Christmas cheer. The children on the list ranged in ages from 2 years old to 17 years old and their wishes ranged from basic necessities such as cold-weather clothing, pillows, bed-sheets, and of course toys, lots of toys. Through the staff’s generosity and hard work, we were able to fulfill all of the children’s holiday wishes and provide a surplus for any children that may not have had an opportunity to initially be included. The gifts were delivered to CYFD this afternoon.
