Sandoval County Chairman Dave Heil handed Health Screener, Yatziri Carrillo, her High School Diploma in the Commission Chambers on December 16, 2020. Carrillo, who has been working for Sandoval County since the Covid outbreak, took all of her courses online due to social distancing regulations. Carrillo was informed in early December that she had received enough credits to graduate. To celebrate this momentous occasion, knowing she wouldn’t have a graduation ceremony, several County employees, including Chairman Heil and County Clerk Eileen Garbagni, put together one for her. After the ceremony, refreshments were served in the Commission conference room.
Carrillo said she has already been accepted into a pre-med program and plans on moving forward with her education in the spring. Sandoval County congratulates Carrillo on this monumental achievement!
