Four Bernalillo High School students got a financial boost on their way to higher education thanks to a scholarship program initiated through a partnership between Sandoval County and Comcast Corporation.
The County Commission presented the students with checks ranging from $2,500 to $1,000 at its June 4, 2015 meeting. Each year, Comcast funds scholarships for high-achieving students at Bernalillo High who plan to further their education. The county commission then selects the winners and awards the scholarships. This year’s recipients and the amounts of their scholarships are:
- Kaitlyn Donahue, $2,500
- Eduardo Garcia, $2,000
- Kodi Waddell, $1,500
- Holly McKenzie, $1,000.
