Sandoval County’s Community Services Department – Senior Services Division is gearing up for the 2019 Sandoval County Senior Picnic. This annual event is a tradition in our County where we celebrate and honor our seniors during Older American’s Month. Their contributions to our community are vital to the growth and success of our people, our business environment and our lifestyle.

The Senior Services team has lots planned this year, including: A car show, live entertainment, Senior Olympics torch run, a health and wellness fair with breakfast, tasty tortilla burgers for lunch and so much more! The event will again take place at Rotary Park in the Town of Bernalillo located at 370 Rotary Park Road from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Food and entertainment will be hosted at the Park Pavilion which provides great shade and lots of seating.

This event is free for Seniors age 60 and over. In addition, Senior Olympians age 55 and over will also be free. Anyone else who wishes to attend will need to purchase a $6 meal ticket. Transportation from the County’s Senior Centers will be provided, however seniors must sign up for the transportation in advance of the event to guarantee a seat on the transport.
