Fire Department Opens Sales of 2018 Breast Cancer Awareness T-Shirts

For more than six years, the Sandoval County Fire Department has been hosting an annual fundraiser to benefit Making Strides of Albuquerque.  More specifically, this organization hosts walks to raise awareness and funds to save lives from breast cancer. The events raise money to fund innovative research, provide free information and support, and to help people reduce their breast cancer risk or find it early when it’s most treatable. The t-shirt sales fundraiser hosted by the Sandoval County Fire Department each year secures additional funding to benefit Making Strides of Albuquerque and their efforts to fight breast cancer.

“This annual t-shirt fundraiser is a way for fire department to further give back to the community,” said Sandoval County Fire Chief James Maxon. “So many people in our community are impacted by breast cancer. So this is a way we can help by supporting research and efforts to reduce someone’s risk of breast cancer.”

Those who would like to purchase a $10 t-shirt from the Sandoval Fire Department may call the Fire Department’s Administration team at (505) 867-0245 to pre-order a t-shirt or stop by to purchase one in person at 314 Melissa Rd, Bernalillo, NM 87004.
