Probate Office Hosts Hallowedding Event

Sandoval County is hosting a Hallowedding event for couples looking to get hitched on Halloween Day! Probate Judge Charles Christmann is dusting off his cape and mask to marry couples during this Halloween themed event, at no cost to the couple getting married. Plus, as an added bonus, the event will be held at Sandoval County’s beautiful El Zócalo Plaza Visitor and Event Center. The location will be decorated in classic Halloween flair, so there’s no decorating work for the happy couples.

Judge Christmann wants to have fun at this event and really cater to those couples who love Halloween as much as he does.

“Halloween is one of my favorite days each year,” said Sandoval County Probate Judge Charles Christmann. “What better way to celebrate this spooky day than with as many wedding ceremonies as I can perform! It’s a great way for couples to have a fun and memorable wedding ceremony, at a beautiful location, at no cost to them…they get a free officiant and a free venue. All they have to pay for is their marriage license at the County Clerk’s Office.”

Couples participating in the Hallowedding event will be married in groups of five couples and in 20 minute increments between the hours of 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2018. Guests are permitted, but must be noted on the registration form and will be limited to a maximum of 10 guests per couple.

The only cost to the couple is the price of the marriage license which must be purchased at the Sandoval County Clerk’s Office for $25 prior to the ceremony. Couples are also responsible for providing witnesses who must be 18 years of age or older.
